I haven't had a need for this, but it seems like one of those things that when you need it, there's no substitute. For $5, seems like a good price.

I haven't had a need for this, but it seems like one of those things that when you need it, there's no substitute. For $5, seems like a good price.

I may have a problem.

Yes. I picked up an extension only to realize that the socket on it was wider than the 1/2" bit. Oops.

Those self-feeding tops really make drilling effortless. Just get it started and it will keep drilling out with no pressure at all. So much so that you will want to reverse the drill if you want to back it out.

These are quality bits and worth having - I'm picking up both sizes to add to my collection.

Another use: installing poe cameras on exterior walls. I picked up the 5/8 and 1/2 last time from Amazon. I had used an extension with a regular spade bit and almost lost it down the wall (so I will use these next time).
