Is this worth the $125 to swap out?
Anyone have any experience with both systems?
My bhyve XR I would say blows. This year it turned on even after giving a freeze warning delay at 6am when it was 20° outside. Woke up to a winter wonder Iceland in my front yard. Also had some days when it didn't rain delay when it rained and vice versa.im debating about dumping it for this, but might wait if a new model comes out soon. I'm done with orbit.
Edit: Also, is their weatherproof enclosure necessary if mounting outdoors?
I'm currently using a Hunter with their WiFi Wand but the Wifi has been very sporadic and finicky
Yes, the weatherproof enclosure is necessary if mounting outdoors.
I have two of these mounted outdoors in the weatherproof enclosures and they've operated flawlessly in the extreme Arizona temperatures for several years now.
