This does not appear to be a GaN charger which is more efficient and smaller. May not matter to some...

Why do they call this a "MacBook" charger? It'll charge anything including Windows laptops.

Reminded me of when people thought 3.5" Mac Format Floppy disks were only meant for use with Macs .

It does imply that the output is high enough (100w in this case) to power most macbooks and that the cable included is also able to handle the power delivery without issues.

But yeah, it's also probably to emphasize how cheap this is compared to Apple oem charger & usb c cable combo (but do check out best buy open-box deals for oem apple, as they can be comparably cheap).

It's not that, pretty sure it's because if they don't mention mac compatible, then apple users won't know it will work with it. Might be obvious for most but not all

Lol my favorite is Mac "compatible" external drives.. It takes 2 seconds to format a drive to work with apple. But now they can charge an extra $40

Details doesn't say it supports PPS, so don't think you'll get fast charging 2.0 out of this charger.
