I bought a similar one last year. We had a heavy snow yesterday and the handle snapped, making it completely unusable. Just a warning to all!

I'm looking for a snowblower. Never had one before but I'm getting old for the shovel.

I have a 2-car wide driveway and my wife may need to use when I'm out of town, so I'm gravitating toward electric since it's easier to start. Anyone have any constructive thoughts on this? I have no experience with this brand

You may need at least four 4.0ah batteries to make it useful.

Definitely "feels" flimsy and I had to replace auger belt once(10 bucks). But for the price, ease of use, weight, etc. you really can't go wrong.

Obviously YMMV in terms of location, usage etc.

I don't have battery, but my neighbor does and he did have issues in blizzard with running out of juice, but in general for "normal" snowfall in his 2 car driveway he has not had any major issues either.

I would get cordless but I would probably need multiple batteries making it less cost effective

I wish my 60V batteries would work with this.

Been wanting to snag one of these, but I am located in CNY and I am worried about its performance with some lake effect snow.

For $400 I think this is a great deal. I've had this blower for 2 winters. Bought it at Costco with I think two 5Ah batteries. Plus have leaf blower that came with same 80v battery, so I have total of 3 batteries. Been happy with both Greenworks machines. Bought snow blower to replace a big gas blower that was having increasing problems. The only bummer of this electric blower is that it's not self propelled, so you do have to do a lot of pushing when you're first cutting a path. After that you can take smaller bites of the snow and it moves forward pretty easy. Considering the maneuvering that a bigger, heavier, gas, propelled blower requires, the work involved in pushing this thing forward is similar. Only when there is a huge amount of snow (like from the town plow at the end of driveway) is this thing seriously taxed (have to chop the pile of snow with a shovel now and then to break it up). Having 3 batteries was very fortunate when we were hit with a storm. We have a long driveway (100 feet) and I used 4 batteries total (had unused ones charging while I was snow clearing). So, I think the average home owner might need 2 batteries (or be willing to wait while your single battery charges, which I think is an hour).

This is tempting, I really want to get rid of my beat up old gas blower for something electric. I have read that the 22" is built quite a bit better than the 20" which gets a pretty bad wrap for being mostly plastic.

I own this model with two 4ah batteries, cleared out about 5 inches of snow from the driveway and between houses on a single battery, recent snow fall only took about half a battery since it was fairly dry and only about 3 inches or so. When getting this one I was told it was better built than the 20 as well, do aim well, it really tosses the snow quite some way.

I've had 3 or 4 of these. Every single one had the same problem: they would randomly shut off and not turn back on for random amounts of time. Sometimes they'd run for hours. Sometimes for seconds. Sometimes in the snow. Sometimes in the cold garage. Sometimes in a warm garage. They were just reliably unreliable.

When they worked, they were good. Wouldn't eat through the ice pile from the plows at the end of the driveway, but was fine for everything else. The 13" snows did take a couple passes, but that was expected. The 8" snows were fine. But I've given up on these because of the high failure rate. I had 3 different batteries and Greenworks spent months trying to figure it out and just kept replacing them.
