Whether that's a factor in practical usage depends on what the chip is rated for, and how much recording is done.
With Ring jacking up their price for users on the lowest plan, I've started looking into alternatives.
They all seem to have small compromises in some fashion, and what I dislike about the Eufy is that it isn't compatible with existing built-in chimes. I don't want to rely on a plug-in.
Also takes a leap of faith to buy from a company that obfuscated, and resisted acknowledging their privacy lapses, before finally coming clean [theverge.com].

Can you elaborate?
A lot of Eufy stuff connects to the Eufy Home Base which is where everything gets stored. This product doesn't support it.
I don't believe there's a micro SD slot, at least I never noticed. I only use their app which I believe stores it on the cloud for a certain number of days.
