The last ones were "certified" too (2000/1600W, 3300/2800W, and this 4000/3300W dual fuel), but numerous people who got in on those deals reported receiving non-working units (myself among them, with the 3300/2800W unit). There were even more who received working units but looked like they'd been through the ringer. Some units had obviously been sitting out in the sun/weather for long periods.
I'm overall happy with the working 2000/1600 and 4000/3300W units I got, but it was definitely a bit of a gamble & a hassle. Thankfully, Ebay won't hesitate to issue a full refund.

That said.. you can just use any normal 12V battery maintainer hooked up directly to the battery to do the same thing. I put a pigtail on mine with a SAE connector for easy hookup.
