For people confused by this device, let me explain my specific use case for it. I have my work laptop which is a 2-in-1 folding laptop seated on it, docked to power, a second monitor, and audio peripherals. With this setup my laptop's footprint is reduced and I have more space for my keyboard + mouse, and when my work laptop isn't in use my iPad or windows gaming handheld can dock in to use the monitor and charge. I've been using this dock since it was released around two years ago and it still performs perfectly. If your needs sound similar to mine then I can't recommend this thing highly enough, especially at this price.
It's too bad this doesn't have an open USB-C port. The only ones on the dock are for power and to connect
to a tablet.
Today I learned:
- iPads can connect to a mouse
- Claws on the bottom = old school
- The USB-C connection on this is for charging only
- SD cards are still a thing
- Slickdealers can generate really strong feelings about USB docks… still

This advice would have saved me $70 a few months back.
Thought I could use the USB-C port on the dock to make my Galaxy Tab 8 Ultra a 2nd monitor. On the bright side it's very stable (even w 14") and folds up nicely when not in use.
I didn't get it... it's a tablet stand with built-in 8in1 hub (which cost no more than $20)? or it has any other features?
Included a GaN charger? I didn't read that though

Regardless of this stand, can galaxy tab 8 ultra even be used as a wired 2nd monitor? I know u can do it wirelessly on windows but the latency is really annoying.

You can go wired with no latency using either of these Play Store apps:
Super Display
Space Desk
They both support wireless as well and work wayyyy better than the built Wireless display
