Why thumbs down? This has a better CPU thank the Alienware for $1500. It has double the RAM and double the SSD and HD. And on top of that, it's not nearly as ugly as the Alienware.

Your thoughts on this Costco deal? It's an i9, with a 4070 12 gb card, but the downside is the memory is DDR 4 3200, as well as only a 1 TB NVMe and a 2 TB HDD…

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Pretty decent deal - mostly comparable to the Best Buy i9 deal back in November.

32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM kills it for me, personally.

I will confirm when I get the system but B&H is selling the same model # and it has 5200mhz ram which I think that should be. I haven't heard of 3200 being a part of anything for a long time especially a gaming PC. Gaming PCs are becoming harder and harder to get. Cyberpower has a 4 to 7 week delay on all custom builds. My Cyberpower PC arrived DOA. The memory would light up but nothing else would turn on or start up. The system fans tried to start but never got going. I am hoping iBuyPower does a bettery job of testing before shipping it out.

To be honest, this is pretty ugly.

They don't test the system once built. I doubt they even test the parts before assembling the manufacture does that before selling the parts.

Very interesting. Is this for just PCs that they send to a store? I know my custom built PC spent 2 days in testing before being shipped out to me. Thanks!

On paper I get it, but in real world is faster ram really making a difference?

I found the USB ports and power switch to be poorly placed. They're too low and difficult to view. You need to put the case on your desk to use them. The included keyboard and mouse are meh! I returned two iBuyPower systems last year because the RAM type did not match what was originally posted on Costco's website.

Yea I had to return my iBuyPower to BestBuy after it started blue screening and only half the fans were even hooked up. Ended up just rebuilding my existing PC with a few new parts.

Most people wouldn't notice or care. And those that would, likely aren't buying a prebuild.
