FYI…I just ended Frontier service and they charge a $50 "equipment restocking fee" when you return the modem. I was completely surprised and apparently it's a new fee when ending service.

I'm paying $39.99 for 500/500. Their retention department don't make offers anymore. Only way I got it was to complain to Frontier twitter account and then some executive from social media team emailed me that offer. Before my bill was $59.99.

To get this new offer I would probably have to cancel my account and sign up through family member.

Retention is the reason why I stayed with Xfinity. At least I know I can go into the store, talk to the manager, and get the introduction offer without having to cancel my existing account.

Good to see they haven't changed a bit after nearly getting sued out of existence by the govt for being a trash service provider.

That's how it was for our address too. They were advertising as being available in our area, but I could not sign up. I asked my neighbors and found out that Frontier was available a couple of houses down but not ours. A couple of years later, they finally laid fiber optic cable through the alley behind us, and now we can sign up. I think it just takes time to get through the city permitting process.
They aren't just advertising here, it's live. I saw them on my street and in my track installing it over a year ago, so there's no excuse for them to think it's still "not available" here. I decided to go with another fiber company and so far, so good. Frontier can take their fine print and incompetence and F off.

I saw that in the fine print of the offer I got in the mail. Also heard Frontier isn't the greatest from people I know who had it. I haven't had any issues with Xfinity in the 5+ years never been charged extra fees or cancellation fees for changing accounts every 1-2 years.

Frontier here. Paying $60/month for 1gbps. They're great until they aren't. The issues were mostly surrounding when they first installed in the area. There's zero communication or clarity for issues. It doesn't completely die, just drops to like 0.5 mbps.

Could a frontier customer answer a couple questions I have. Ive been thinking of switching from xfinity but wasn't sure about a few things. They laid fiber a year or so in my backyard. If i were to go with frontier how is the line ran to my house? Do I have to hire someone to run the line underground? If yes, can i just run it along the top of a fence that runs from the pole to my house to save the time and money of digging a trench?
Also do i have to use the equipment they are trying to give with the service? I have a very nice, expensive modem and router already that i use that I'm sure is better than theirs in speed performance.
Lastly when the year promo price ends. How much does it go up? And can they just raise the monthly price anytime they want? Thanks for any responses in advance!

Promotional prices show up when I click the link, but when I enter an actual service address, it's not showing the correct pricing.

Frontier is such a poorly run business near me. It says there are offers, then quotes a generic "internet" once I type in my address. I spoke to them recently and asked what kind of speeds they offer...the response was "we don't quote speeds, the onsite technician will run a speed test and let you know how fast the copper circuit would be. What a joke! Who would sign up for any amount of money without knowing how fast the speeds are.

I see the deal when I load the link, but prices change once I enter my address.

$45 for 500, $65 for 1 gig, $99 for 2 gig, and $155 for 5 gig.

I'm paying $74.99 for 1Gb which was a great deal at the time (2 years ago?). I think at the time they advertised the price as locked in for 3 years. Anyone had any luck with asking about getting these promotions as existing customers? I don't want to threaten to cancel and close the line as it's still much better than dealing with Spectrum.

Wish I have their service in my area... Paying $90/month via Spectrum for 1gbps/40mpbs and its not stable at all.
