That Staples Hyken chair for $100 stinks. I returned it after building it. The backrest is too short on it and didn't reach the tops of my shoulders and the headrest on it couldn't hit my neck and pushed my head forward too far. I'm 5'11''. It wasn't adjustable enough. Tempted to try this, but I think I need to sit in the chair before I buy it.

That's exactly what I did. Brought a Herman Miller for $300 two year ago. The air cylinder broke last month. It's stuck and I can't remove it to replace the cylinder.

Cheaper to buy a $120 hcair and replace it every two years.

Same question. How does this compare to the recent $100 Hyken? Been looking for a chair but wanted a Dexley so did not pull the trigger on the previous office depot chair deal.

Similar question. How does this compare to the Dexley? From what I read 6'2" is too tall for the Hyken (did not want to mess with a headrest hack), and I missed the Dexley deal @ $120. Best and blessings.

I just went through the Staples (union & scale) warranty process to replace my seat on the Dexley as the mesh was coming out on one side after 3 years. It was super easy as they just ask for my order number, manufacture date, and confirmed I am under the weight limit and sent me a new seat within 2 days for free.

I completely agree with your assessment of Staples warranty. Super easy.

However, this thread is for an Office Depot chair. The complete opposite of super easy. More like super nightmare.

I experienced exactly what you are describing on an office max chair whose back got loose and started hitting the support within 1 year of purchase. Back ordered for months and finally sent another one that had the same problem 🤦
