Not a Google fi customer. If I become one, say, this week, could I immediately become eligible for the deal? Deal ends march 13th, could I qualify in time? Or is there waiting period for new customers?
it seemed to take 3 weeks before i saw the offer, jan 24th to feb 15th. YMMV

The design just screams 2005 thick phone. Probably one of their worst designed phones thus far.
It's better this way. S22 Ultra tried to look slim and modern, and as a result I have a stupid curved screen, which provides no benefit and invites particles of all sorts into my case to scratch the phone up.

I recently got the Fi existing customer when the phone launched so here is how you get the offer if you have never had Fi service before. Follow the steps exactly.
1. Sign up for Google Fi new customer offer of $off after 24 months. Sign up, and place your order for the S24 phone using that offer.
2. Activate your Fi account on your current phone using either eSIM or pSIM. If you don't have pSIM, you can go buy one in a target store. To activate service you need to download the Google Fi app and follow the steps.
3. Once your service is activated, go to your Google Fi account, Manage Orders and find your device order. Cancel this order. It shows up on this page within 15-20 minutes of ordering. Once you cancel your device order, it will show canceled and your Google Fi service will still be active as you activated it on your current phone.
4. Wait for 24 hours. Don't pause your Google Fi service.
5. After 24 hours, go to the Google Fi account page. Go to Shop page and you should be able to see the existing customer offer.

During these steps and while waiting for your phone, Do Not pause your Google Fi service.

Edit: This had worked on Flexible plan.

Could anyone confirm if you can use two sims with the device? I plan on getting esim for fi and a physical sim from a different carrier. Another question, do I need to be in a Family plan to get this promo?

Looks like the discount reduced by $50? Also, does the 'trick' where you activate new service on a BYOD, wait 24hrs to purchase the s24 and then cancel.or whatever after, still work?
You get half of the storage too

I'm an existing member of Fi. Only $250 off for me.

Edit- I can't read, I'm in the simply unlimited plan so it doesn't work for me.
Maaan what can we freaking do. I don't want the 2 year deal though.

Why place order for new phone though? Why not just sign up for service and bring your own device?

i thought the point of getting an "unlocked" phone is not having to stay in an expensive plan?

If you don't do that you will keep seeing the new customer offer. I think the existing customer offer is only displayed when Fi systems consider you having used the new customer offer. That's the theory.

Feels slim and light in the hands for the size. Square design is ugly but much better for viewing videos and photos

I returned mine and kept the my iPhone 15 pro max but I'll miss that way better screen and cameras (for photos at least)
Same here. I wanted to like it but the design was just way too ugly and felt really cheap as well, not premium at all. One thing I did appreciate is that it was a lot faster than even my iPhone 15 Pro Max. But yeh, I also returned my S24 Ultra. Too ugly.

TLDR: I ended up in customer support hell.
ordered 1/22 with estimated delivery 1/31
FedEx tracking stops 2/1
support case opened with FedEx on Wed 2/7
support case opened with Google Fi on Wed Fi 2/7
no-reply automated email from FedEx lacks any further contact info
on Thu, 2/8 follow up with Google Fi - told to wait "nothing to worry about"
on Fri, 2/9 follow up with Google Fi - told to wait "while support contacts FedEx for information on the shipment"
at this point the charge for the phone is showing up on my Google Fi bill for Feb service
I contact Google Fi support again via chat and ask for immediate refund - denied while "investigation is ongoing"
I call Google Fi support and insist the refund be processed same day and the charge removed from my Google Fi bill for the device I never received - got denied again and then hung up on
I call back and ask for a point of contact with the billing team - denied as "there is already a case open. don't worry it will be resolved and you will get credit on your next bill" and then support rep hung up ( that's twice if you are counting - two different reps hung up on me simply for asking for a billing PoC )
I went ahead and submitted an order refund request thru the Google Store site ( told to send the device back for refund - supposed to send the one that never arrived )
on Sat, 2/10 receive automated email from Google Store stating "refund was issued" but "may take up to 14 business days...
and today, almost a week later I am still chasing Google Fi support to reverse the charge on my Feb bill...

Excellent deal for No-Trade In. Trade in Value suck.
