This is a refurbished item.

This is recently released version with 5 temperature sensors. I never seen it below $119 and was surprised Bed Bath and Beyond coupon applied to Meater.

$129.00 - 20% one item coupon = $103.20 + tax. Free shipping on this order.
  • Direct Heat Grill up to 1000°F, now you can leave the probe in the meat over an open flame while cooking and searing.
  • Waterproof: deep fry and sous vide cook, then clean it in the dishwasher.
  • Accuracy: lab tested through a 3-point calibration process, the sensors are ±0.5°F, and each MEATER 2 Plus comes with a Certificate of Calibration.
  • Fast Charging: by the time you finish exploring the MEATER app, you're charged for your first 2-hour cook. A short 15-minute charge is enough to last 12 hours. 30 minutes gets you 24+ hours.
  • Smart Temp Multisensor technology: 5 temperature sensors

@songfeathers @rob1005 thanks. That's disappointing, didn't know it was refurbished. I'll cancel my order.

I bought the original kickstarter meater and it was freaking awesome... it warned me a couple of times when my pellet smoker caught on fire, and a bunch of times when my pellet smoker wasn't feeding. I used to "freestyle" with it after it reached the temp I wanted to hold, and got some amazing results. Cooks were always well timed and I loved that thing. Eventually it died and I replaced it with the block. The programming is completely different now. Out of the box, it won't stfu with its annoyance alarms... AFTER you watch a dozen stupid videos that it forces you to rewatch every time you cook something new?! WTF?! The predictions are also completely wrong now. Even if you pull it out at one of the dozen times it beeps a 5 minute warning, you'll probably overshoot. After it decides that it has rested, it stops registering temperature properly. I went from loving this product to hating what it has become. For whatever all that is worth.

This comment is so accurate, it's like I'm looking in the mirror. I have to turn off notifications on an overnight cook, or be notified anywhere from 20 to 100+ times. Which, literally makes a Meater device worthless since a person absolutely wants to know about flame-outs, temp spikes, etc. Can't stand my Meater block and am moving to Combustion Inc. It's a price increase, but that will be accounted for with one thrown away Prime cut Brisket. Again, IMHO and YMMV.

Combustion Inc, you say? I'll have to give them a look! Nothing would make me happier than retiring my block in favor of something that doesn't suck!
