This doesn't include K2 though, so I'd pass.
There's a great range of bioavailability of vitamin D in supplements which might mean that someone gets nowhere near 10000iu absorbed. Another issue is the host factor that there can be a 5 fold difference in absorption of vitamin D between two seemingly similar individuals, so 10000iu supplementation for me might result in 5 times less increase in serum level that it would for you. Also, people with more adipose tissue are going to need heavier doses than thinner people. It's way too many confounding factors to declare this is too much, so someone should just have some blood work occasionally to see how it's going. It's not uncommon to prescribe 50000iu to those that don't respond to 5000 or 10000iu supplements.

Can attest. Had low D for a decade taking 5000iu daily, barely boosted me at all. Started buying with K2 and was to normal levels in a year. Read it on Internet...doc never mentioned at all. But it's absolutely a thing.
Stated with no evidence.

"Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin stored in the liver and adipose tissue. It is available from exogenous sources and synthesized endogenously by the human body. The Endocrine Society clinical practice guidelines suggest that the daily requirement of vitamin D for adults aged 19 to 50 years is 600 IU/d. For those aged 50 to 70, the daily requirement is at least 600 IU/d. For those older than 70, the daily requirement is at least 800 IU/d. The maximum suggested daily requirement is 4000 IU/d for everyone older than 8 years."

In the past I was prescribed 50,000 IU capsules to take once a week for two months to fix a deficiency. A blood test showed I was back to normal after that. Most adults are lacking in vitD but that doesn't mean we need to overload ourselves without speaking with a doctor. Be aware of vitamin toxicity from having too much in your system, especially fat-soluble vitamins.
This is what I take...
