Just read that traxion is a lug/sole design and not the actual rubber of the sole. Continental is the rubber which is great for running shoes on wet surfaces.

Next question is Continental vs vibram...

Had these in the sand color. For the price point (got them for sale at the time), they were pretty comfy, had great grip and kept my feet dry. I think this is a great deal.

What's this Traxion sole? Is it more or less grippy on wet rocks than the Continental sole?

Adidas doesn't do wide at all, do they?

Edit - nevermind, not for these but they do for other shoes

Not as light as the Free Hikers but I think these are a good deal at this price point

For certain Adidas, I've had luck going up one half size and taking out the soles, but that's usually when the upper/vamp material is more flexible, not sure how the material is on this

edit- this was meant to be a reply to minger's comment

Do you have wide or narrow feet?

My feet are about average, maybe a smidge on the wider side. The fit was comfortable from the first time wearing them

For normal width feet, do these fit true to size?

In for one, thanks. Worth a shot for the price, since I still haven't gotten my defective Free Hiker 2 GTX sorted out. (These won't be as comfy, but hopefully good enough.)

Pro tip: Adidas support and warranty is worthless, but 30-day return policy is your friend.
