Out of *10* reviews (for the seller)... And no mention of a warranty vs (potential) lifetime warranty to save $1? I applaud your cheapness but think you are making a mistake in this case not buying the mono cable from Amazon

That's an 18gbps cable this is 48gbps so is very much not the same cable.

Incorrect, read again. It depends on the manufacturer, but warranties for small items are often irrelevant. After a couple of years, would you spend time getting an RMA and then pay shipping to send back a $7 cable?

FYI - Monoprice hasn't required me to ship the old cable back for replacement any of the dozens of times I've done it over the last 15 years or so.

Yes, I would. But because you don't pay for return shipping when you (warranty) return any item to mp (or Amazon for Amazon branded cables.) What they do is send you a new cable for free with no shipping charge (I've never even been asked to send back a cable when using cable warranties from *any* company.) So yes I would, at least until HDMI 2.2 is a thing. But again, you are saving a dollar now which might matter to you more than having a video cable that you can replace as needed (I've replaced monoprice cables and Amazon cables when Amazon had a lifetime warranty quite a few times after literally years of use when they failed.) It is interesting that you (in this case) are in favor of saving a dollar on a cable to buy a "no name brand" but not in favor of saving seven when/if the cable fails. It's your money and you are the one to choose how to spend it, but I'll again say saving the dollar versus a lifetime warranty is an odd concession to make for a cable that is likely to be useful for the foreseeable future (8k supported) 🤷

I'm getting a lot of HDCP errors lately, maybe this will help. Good quality for those long runs. In for two on prime but delayed delivery
Let us know if these cables fixes those handshake issues TIA

Agreed. Two things in monoprice's favor. Monoprice's lifetime warranty, plus the Amazon ones, while a good price, are not certified 2.1. Though, I will say it's been maybe 60/40 hit or miss with that in my experience over the years.

Per one of the Amazon one's reviews:

(Update) still using this cable and now have Xbox series x it works amazing. Support is 8k HDR 60hz, 4k HDR 120hz, 4k HDR 60hz, 1440p HDR 120hz, 1440p HDR 60hz, 1080p HDR 120hz, 1080p HDR 60hz, 720p 60hz. It supports VRR and Freesync but not gsync.
Great for next gen video game consoles bad for PC monitor because lack of gsync support and does not work on 720p TV's or older 720p monitors as the image quality was subpart and provided no visual upgrades actually made text on older monitors hard to read.
If you are looking for a cable for Xbox series x or PS5 and have a 4k 120hz tv or 4k 60hz tv than this cable is one of the best deals on all of Amazon

If only these were available for in-store pickup, but I understand they're being sold and shipped directly from Monoprice's merchant account. Just wishful thinking...

Don't need arc or anything and running a couple HDMI 1way repeaters on these 20 foot cables and have a nice 60 foot cable running along baseboard to my living room TV from my compy. Mono price does jack up their packing sheets sometimes, and other non cable stuff can be meh(bought a Bluetooth earpiece pair with cradle that couldn't fit ear comfortably). But cables. Adapters. Monoprice is topshelf

I hear these can be kind of stiff. I also ordered one of their 8 foot cables (with similar specs) for $7 for situations where I need a more flexible cable: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/17325777

My monitor 5120 × 1440 but the cable only shows 3840 × 2160 is maximum resolution

Another cable which is display port shows 5120 × 1440 . Anybody knows why ?
