This is one of the best deals on ANY MacBook Pro I've ever seen. This laptop was listed at $2K not even 6 months ago. It is $1599 on the Apple Refurb store--and this Costco deal is for a brand new one w 2/year warranty. Too bad they only seem to get this awesome on the base configs. I figure by the weekend there won't be any left. They were getting hard to find at the $1399 price they were just a week ago.

There was a chance, but now its on slickdeals so that chance is less. I watched it go from $1399.97 to $1299.97, and now $1199.97.

this isn't for basic tasks..this is a beefy laptop.
if you want basic tasks get a nice chromebook for 400$

My Macbook Air M1 handles 4k video editing on final cut pro and photo editing on photoshop with zero issues. So unless you're doing some serious professional work, this won't make a huge difference.

Not sure you need the pro version I guess, you may want to look at air. Doubt it will drop at 1000
