"In August 2021 Peet's began using the water process to decaffeinate all of our bagged coffee and K-cups in response to customer requests. This is commonly referred to as the "Swiss water process" which is only 1 of the water process companies that we work with. With the water process, coffee beans are soaked in water to remove the caffeine. The beans are then removed from the bath, dried, and ready for roasting, leaving minimal caffeine on the bean."
I don't know why that previous user quoted the older answer.

Link, I'm not seeing organic decaf for that price anywhere.
I know you kid, but over time your body can suddenly start having adverse affects to caffeine (headaches, stomach aches, etc). Coffee is very high in anti-oxidants. Many very positive health studies have been done on coffee. You can get all those benefits without the drug "caffeine". In my personal experience caffeine causes no stimulative reaction for me. It's like drinking water, no energy boost. Nothing. I might as well just drink decaf.

But that's nice because it is whole bean swiss water decaf which is harder to find. Although you can get it cheaper from other online wholesale coffee places.
btw, they used to sell that Kirkland signature decaf coffee at my local Costco some years ago. It was always cheaper in-store vs online. I haven't seen it in my local Costco in YEARS. I wonder what's up with that.

Agreed. Couldn't find his $5/lb either, unfortunately.

As far as decaf, Costco doesn't carry regularly anything similar for $5/lb other than that.
I would say it's not an equivalent deal because someone who is buying a 10 oz. bag of pre-ground decaf is not buying for the same circumstances as someone buying 3 pound tins. If you're normally buying 10 oz bags, it's probably just for yourself. If you're buying 3 pound tins, it's probably for a large group--like an office machine.
You shouldn't consider the 3 pound tin at $5/lb a big savings over the 10 oz Peet's if you are are just using a small amount at a time. The 3 pound tin would last a person over a month and its flavor would deteriorate after having it exposed to air for over a month, so paying a couple dollars more for the smaller Peet's bag that gets used up in a week or two may be a better deal.
