Wet snow will clog and the throw will be 5 feet (most) for the Snow Joe.
Now this isn't a deal breaker as you can get to the snow faster and not have to deal with gas, heft, and oil changes. It really depends on your situation and size of area to clear.
I would suspect all single stage machines are similar regardless of the voltage. Might get a slightly farther throw.
Overall, I love my Snow Joe. I bought an extra set of batteries last year, but my needs only require one set at a time. And I clear my 3 car driveway and sidewalks in 20-30 min. Personally a timesaver over manual. Also, I don't see my neighbors pulling out their gas units for low accumulations, so since I do use my Snow Joe, it makes my clearing super fast and easy.
