I don't think anyone can understand how long I've been waiting for $1.04 savings on jarred gravy.
The price of all those ingredients and the hassle of putting it together and all the dirty dishes?
No. I'll spend $1.43!
You had me at cheap and easy. Then lost me with everything after that didn't sound cheap or easy.

gravy is too easy and cheap to make. melt 2 tablespoon butter/chicken fat, add just enough flour for a paste and cook until golden. Add chicken broth/stock to loosen it while stirring. keep adding broth until it becomes the right consistency. salt to taste.

I find it too salty, bought recently. I usually make rice, then mix it in. I prefer a turkey gravy, though. Yet, this brand is too salty.

Yeah good call, and even at that- why not just buy the 50 cent powdered packets and mix with water? Still a much better value and no need for shipping glass jars?

it's one pan and a spoon. Even better if you just baked a chicken/turkey and used onions/carrots/celery as the base.

Two tablespoons of butter is 1/4 of one stick. A cup of flour is 120g and a whole bag is 2.2kg. Chicken stock/broth can be had from leftover bones from legs/thighs or a whole chicken. Simmer it for an hour but no more than 4. It's work but you're not tied down by lack of skill... though it's not even a skill, it's basic cooking. Invest in some cooking books instead of these expensive products.

Heinz and their frightening "chronic" ingredients. Liquid artery clogger.
