Shimano MT410 brakes
Maxxis Minion DHF front tire, Dissector rear.
140mm Rockshox Revelation RC DebonAir fork.
WTB i30 wheels.
TranzX dropper.
It's got decent enough parts and geometry to be a great legit entry level bike.

While the Deore has been flawless, I am shopping for a new wheelset as the low end hubs with loose balls already need rebuild. But I may just rebuild them and continue to abuse them until they completely fail. I haven't even upgraded the resin brake pads/cheap rotors.
For most riders, the Honzo will be more bike than they need. I ride with two people that own Honzo's (DL and ESD) and they love them. Almost want to buy just cause it is such a good deal.
Edit,
Was thinking about buying one as at this price would be a cheap way to have a spare bike. And while the geometry is very similar to my RM Growler, the Head Tube Angle (HTA) is 66 vs 64 on Growler, which is plenty slack, but being a HT, the HTA becomes steeper the more the fork compresses. Just picked up a RM Blizzard and the HTA is 66 and RM Element is 65. Per Kona, "The Honzo is the solution for the rider wanting something a bit more aggressive than a traditional cross-country hardtail" and HTA of 66 fits that.
I now see the Honzo ESD has 63" HTA...now that is slack. I still think this (DL version) is a great bike at this price and want to buy one as spare.
If I did not already have a HT I would buy one in a heartbeat. DO IT! And ride it every day!
