I think Slate is the only one in this list with EAP support

Anyone know if Tailscale is supported in any of these?

I wonder why these are refurbished. A rule of thumb I have been following religiously is not buying refurbished routers and networking devices in general. They almost always have hidden serious flaws.
I went from 3x refurb Neatgear N routers (10 year setup that covered my entire house as access points) to 3x refurb Asus t-mobile AC routers that were hacked. These replaced my Netgear N not b/c I needed it, but just so I could be prepped with AC.

Knock on wood, all of them have been crushing it, flawless.

Can any of these be used as Tailscale exit node?
Theoretically, I think yes, if there is a Tailscale package that can run on this. But they have limited free space for additional packages.

Looks like these ones specifically are not set up for it natively, unfortunately.

https://docs.gl-inet.com/router/e...tailscale/

The newer versions of some of these options do support tailscale.
I have the beryl set up as an exit node. You need to ssh into it and apply some code to a script, I'm sure it will support natively soon. Great little router - have it setup as an exit node so my IP looks like I'm at another location.
The ask simple post worked for me even through it for the brume router.

What kind of speeds are you getting? I did see some info on manually installing the packages with success and in the same thread the company seemed to indicate no plans to add support on the older beryl given low performance numbers (5mbps was their average it seemed).

Those AC-1900's are awesome. You can run dd-wrt, open-wrt or Asus Merlin firmware. I have one of those as backup just in case and still works strong.

Just checked. 180 mbs down 70 up. Pretty close to if I were on that network. Smilie

I've been using Beryl for a while now and it is amazing travel router. It also supports captive portal in hotels/flights/restaurants. You can even clone MAC if the portal like inflight uses MAC for authentication.

OpenVPN speeds are nice like 150mbps. I've Xfinity Gig and connect to my Home wifi -> gl.inet -> Open VPN -> end client.

I've used with NordVPN(including dedicated IP which requires some work) and PIA VPN(which doesn't support dedicated IP yet on gl.inet). The only thing I miss is the Wireguard support from VPN providers with dedicated IP(limited use case for many). Might have to try Torguard VPN which I believe supports Wireguard config files for 3rd party devices.

I have been looking for one of these for connecting when staying at an Airbnb and hotels. Use case would simply be renaming the network to my home network so I don't have to authenticate for each device. And maybe running a VPN locally on the device.

Seems like the one to get (beryl) is sold out. Sad.
