These are older obsolete versions. For me, they arent worth the bother despite the low cost. IF you want a travel router, I highly recommend this one:
https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL...R2PX&psc=1 [amazon.com]

I used it on a recent cruise with it plugged into an Anker phone battery and it worked as a hotspot all over the ship for my family. Worked perfectly. Also used it in VPN mode to connect back to my home network and while slow, worked OK. (It was slow because the ship internet speed was slow. )
What's the benefit of using this device on a cruise (instead of like your devices connecting to the cruise's wifi directly)?

I use MT3000 as home router or wireguard host and MT1300 as client. It works but slow. I am on a cruise now. The clone feature with my phone Mac doesn't work. It might be IP locked?

I see you are a new user. Saves $. Cruises charge lots of $$ for wifi per device. This allows one device to serve multiple devices/people.

You can connect multiple devices to the cruise connection, despite paying for only one.
Also you can use a VPN service through the glinet

Do you know if GL.iNet GL-E750 (MUDI) with EP06-A or AC25-AF will work for sharing wifi on cruise (not about sharing LTE)? If yes, which of the two is better when sharing LTE on land?
It is better to have one to use on cruise with builtin battery.

Can someone just put 'cruise' in the title? Because this is getting so out of control now.

Voyager of the Sea. Yes it uses StarLink. I got ~ 30 (down) / 5 (up) Mb from my device connected with the Beryl AX, while 4 kids and wife were all using their devices at the same time.
Don't kid yourself. These are not sustained rates. With hundreds of WiFi users on the ship, there is no way you can get 30 down for long. I have gotten as slow as 1Mbps down without any repeater and any repeater will cut the speed in half.

One thing I learned from this post is that there are a lot of slickdealsers that go on cruises.
Hard to argue the value proposition of cruises especially if you have hungry kids. My brother in law has 6 kids and eating out on vacation regularly becomes crazy expensive fast, not to mention the need for multiple hotels rooms / large suites / Airbnb house just to house them all.

Could you link a guide to do this please. I'm looking to work remote from another country and seem like I'm working from my house.

A lot of the thread is about cruise ship internet because of the way cruise lines charge for internet access. You typically pay for each device, so if you can pay for a single connection and use it on multiple devices, those savings add up. For some lines such as MSC, your access is permanently tied to the MAC address of whatever you first connect with, so you can't even log out/log back in on another device. Cruise internet ranges from $12-30 per day, so saving money here is a big consideration, especially if you can do so with a $15 device.

While I partially agree with the sentiment that you should just "disconnect from the world", unfortunately in this day and age, that's not always possible. Some ports of call will give free internet access near the dock, while others do not. It's nice being able to send a message to family members, the people watching my house and pets, check the weather, make a phone call via wifi, etc. while away.
agreed even if its in your room im gonna be taking a 22 day! so needless to say im gonna give the slate here a try.. and hope it works

Here's a thought. Go no the cruise and disconnect yourself from the rest of the world. Free!

"Let's go on this cruise and sit on our phones all day just like we do st home!" Sad that people can disconnect at all anymore.

Cruises are like a floating Home Town Buffet. I'd rather be on my phone 😂

what kind of range do you get around your cabin? or do you carry it around the ship?
The 5G band covers neighboring (regular-sized) cabins without issue. The 2.4G band may extend a bit further across three cabins with much reduced (~ 6Mb download) speed (only tested outside of the cabin by walking two doors down). Note that the Beryl AX has two antenna, other models without antenna will have less coverage.

I could have brought it with me around the ship with a power bank as others have suggested and indeed I had prepared for it with two portable batteries. Nevertheless, such situation didn't arise with our little kids onboard on this trip.
