If you're ever in Chicago and are a McDonald's fan, be sure to check out the company's headquarters in the West Loop. There, you can try hamburgers offered in other countries, a unique experience you won't find anywhere else in the States.

I've been getting 1 dollar Big Macs and other "premium" sandwiches regularly with the app for years. I'd imagine I've single handedly cost McDonald's thousands of dollars. I never buy it unless it's significantly discounted.

In SoCal, McD's coupons have gotten pretty tight. Even the perpetual $6 Big Mac Value Meal deal changed to a Double Cheeseburger recently. If you don't use the app, they'll throw you a bone -- sometimes even a 50% discount off your entire purchase -- but that's about it.
I double dip by going to different fast food places. I have a McDonalds and Burger King right next to each other. By using the apps I can get a Big Mac for free if I spend $2 and I can get free large fries from BK with any spend. So for about $3-4 I get an appetizer, sandwich, side, and dessert (mozzarella sticks, Big Mac, fries, apple pies). Score!

They are treating it different than before .. at my local location you order inside on an iPad and someone brings out your food to your table … this means that currently you do NOT get your cup when you pay… which means you wait for someone to bring you an empty cup for you to serve yourself… so phasing out the self serve would streamline the process of eating inside
