I've tried to offer Boost Mobile my money more than once. Somehow they always mess it up.

I used Boost live chat and asked what UNLIMITED plan is included. Here is answer:
As per checking here, the plan that comes with the phone is the yearly plan for $300 and discounted to $150. That is the $25 plan. This plan includes unlimited talk, text and data throttled to 3G speeds after 35 GB of 5G/4G and 12GB hotspot.

Unlimited Plan in this deal is the $300 annual plan (12 months X $25 per month). The $25 a month plan is throttled at 512kbps after 30gb.

Should you stay past 1 year, Boost will automatically charge $300 for year 2 unless you disable auto-pay.

Expect Boost Mobile to send you a T-Mobile sim unless T-Mobile coverage is bad in your area. Then, you might get lucky and be sent an At&t sim. Highly improbable that you get a rainbow sim. Pretty sure 99% of the orders will get a T-Mobile sim.

If you already have an At&t sim and they sent you a T-Mobile one, I believe you can use the At&t one instead. Not 100% sure if this will work, but that is how people normally establish service using At&t towers instead of T-Mobile towers on Boost. Once you start on a T-Mobile sim, there is no way of changing it to At&t. When ordering, be sure to select the porting in option rather than getting a new number.

If you are currently a Boost Mobile customer and want to take advantage of this deal, you can port out as mentioned. However, you will need to start a new account with a new email address which means you would lose the remaining months on you annual plan and any Boost Coins earned but not used yet.

At checkout, the terms say the phone must be activated within 30 days. Failure to do so would result in Boost charging you the difference between the retail ($200) and this promo price ($40) = $160.

Boost policy for unlocking phones is 1 year of active service. Phone does not have to be continuously used the full year, but the account used to order the phone has to be active for the whole year.

Boost uses T-mobile
Boost uses T-Mobile, AT&T or DISH's own network. Some devices can switch between all three networks with "rainbow" SIMs, but I'm not sure which devices

This seems a good deal?

I know boost didn't have wifi calling before, does it now?

If you look at their year plan, it has a 12gb hotspot included.

You could switch phones right?

Only if you wish to renew, and, if you do, you can probably pay $25/mo on a monthly basis.

I'm done. I gave them a couple more chances and they still can't seem to take my money.

Does the one year of service start immediately or can you wait a month or two before you began using the service? My mint mobile plan ends March 26th.

Your year doesn't start until you activate, but you have to select that you're bringing a number -- that gives you 30 days to activate.

You definitely have a month to activate, maybe more.
The mouse print on the order checkout page states:
Quote :
By clicking 'Buy Now' or 'Pay with PayPal', you agree to pay the amount due today. Your service will not begin until your SIM is activated. If you are getting a new phone number, your SIM will be automatically activated 2-3 days after order. If you do not activate your phone on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you will be charged the full MSRP of the phone (less your purchase price) to the card used today or any alternative payment method. Once activated, you authorize Boost Mobile to charge your card or PayPal account to auto pay your monthly total fee plus any additional taxes and surcharges. Prices and surcharges subject to change. Cancel any time. Plan downgrades unavailable. You also agree to our Terms, Emergency and Privacy Policy. Boost Mobile may use your information to contact you about your account.
Maybe if you port in a number you can hold off on having the service automatically activated within 2-3 days (of ORDER CONFIRMATION), but the above matches the behavior of Boost Mobile based on personal experience. I previously purchased a phone from them (advertised for free or maybe $20), with purchase of 1 month of service. From what I remember, the service plan had started (for a few days) before the phone got delivered. In that case it didn't matter as I was only interested in the phone itself, not the service.

P.S. There's $25 CB available (for ordering new Boost Mobile service) from one of the popular 3rd party CB sites.

I use an Intl A14 on wifi at home. It's fine for browsing but the 4gb is just about tolerable. And the sound is awful. This deal is tempting just wish boost would include the A25, which has 6gb.
