I would strongly suggest staying away from the pale gray version of this keyboard unless you are typing in very low-light situations where the backlight letters are prominent. I have this keyboard and it is practically unusable in normal light levels as the thin translucent letters are almost invisible against the light gray keycaps. The backlighting actually makes the problem worse in normal light levels. The dark version with dark gray keycaps is much more visible.

Basically gives you the high end laptop keyboard experience for your desk. It's mainly for productivity, not gaming.

Great keyboard. Use it at home and pack it up for when I'm in the office. Build quality is great and it's just satisfying to type on.

Got the full version from work last week and the keyboard won't auto reconnect to Bluetooth after I take the laptop away. So far, I have to uninstall and connect manually every time for it to work. For those that have good experiences, can you advise what I am doing wrong? I found a lot of people have the similar issues online but I haven't found the solution yet.

I am a coder and WFH most days but for the days I decide to go in the office this is my go-to portable keyboard. Fits in my backpack without too much weight and is pretty comfortable to type on all day.

Not sure where folks are saying excellent build quality. The keycaps feel cheap ABS and they broke when I tossed them in my backpack ( not just popped off but cracked). Great for light usage. Apple Magic Keyboard has much better build quality comparatively.

I will say the automated RMA was painless .

Doesn't hold a candle to the ThinkPad Trackpoint II Keyboard - which for some odd reason never goes on sale on its very manufacturer's website - instead it's always this one that is on sale.

Funny you say that on both counts.
1) the TrackPoint II *needs* a candle held to it as it lacks backlighting.
2) are you *sure* it never goes on sale on Lenovo.com?

After a year of use, the keys started falling off. Hard pass.
In my case key broke in less than a year.

You understand that products come in different tiers of quality, right?

A bike and Porsche will both get you to work, but one is much higher quality than the other. That's what you pay for.

Hoping for graphite to come back into stock. Been waiting for a price like this so I could get one for travel.

My mechanical keyboard takes up too much space in my personal item.

There are bikes that are every bit as high quality as a Porsche, but comparing bikes to cars in this way is a little silly.

"What you pay for" in this comparison is additional cost because there are more raw materials and manufacturing costs in a car than there are in a bike,

I appreciate your input, but then realized I haven't been looking at keys since being a kid. On a mac I always turn off the backlit anyway. So, I would suggest saying something like "…if you care about looking at it".

Been eyeing it for a while, and finally bit.
Ordered one, kudos to op.
