This keeps flagging me as a previous customer. My girlfriend and I live at the same address, and we take turns signing up. It's worked every year but this link continues to say it a previous customer and the offer is not valid. Anybody have this problem?

Same. Always worked in the past, switching between my wife and I. tried using my work email, even tried the email+sams@gmail trick, but it kept flagging. Maybe they are tracking phone numbers now.

I got a deal from Groupon about half a year ago and a month ago Sam's Club offered to upgrade my membership to the plus membership for $10 for the rest of the year. I assume I will need to pay the full price when I renew. The closest Sam's Club to me is about 40 miles away therefore free delivery is a definite advantage.
