looks like you pasted in the wrong specs.

Features:

Processor & Memory:
14th Gen Intel Core i7-14700F 2.1GHz (Max 5.4GHz) Processor
33MB L3 Cache
32GB DDR5 Memory (4 Slots, 128GB Max)

Motherboard:
Intel B760 Chipset Motherboard

Hard Drive:
2TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe Solid State Drive

Graphics & Video:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super, 12GB

around $1450 worth of parts, so ~$150 build fee + support.

Is it a deal? up to you.

Price wise it's about what you pay for extra for the 4070 Super, and a slight cost difference for the 14700F… it's up to you if you want to spend extra for a much better GPU. Though 12gb is sad 😢 at this price point… the raw performance outpaces a 4060 Ti. The 4070 Super is about 50% better relative to a 4060 Ti (8gb, but unless you hit texture cap, no real perf diff with 16gb) roughly from Techpowerup.

You decide… 4060 Ti (8gb) is 67% of a 4070 Super. (Meaning the 4070 Super is 50% better).

16GB on the 4060 Ti is a negligible difference between its 8GB counterpart as reviewed by Hardware Unboxed. It's often tied or beats the 8GB model slightly due to VRAM limitations depending on the scenario (Mostly 4K or RT). A 4070 Super is still a vastly superior card even with less VRAM. Blame Nvidia for slapping these cards with way less memory. If you game at 1080p or 1440p, 12GB VRAM shouldn't be an issue. The 4060 Ti will more likely suffer from being a weaker card before it suffers VRAM issues. Your gaming experience should be vastly better with a 4070 Super, but again it's up to you to spend $300 more for the system.

I have a 4090 so I can't objectively tell you what's worth your money. I can only point out the objective benchmarks from hardware sites or hardware tech tubers. For all intents and purposes based on benchmarks the performance of a 4060 Ti 16GB is almost identical to the 4060 Ti 8GB. So it's safe to say a 4070 Super is still roughly 50% better.

Hopefully SD'rs who are smarter than me about computers can help me out.

I bought a computer last week at Costco as I thought it was the best deal for the price -
This is the one I bought last week.. https://www.costco.com/msi-aegis-...39263.html

I paid $1300 for it, then I just saw this one here that I just posted.. Its $300 more dollars..
I'm doing video editing which my current system is 5 to 7 years old and has an older graphic card which is why Im updating..

Here are the big questions I have to see if you guys think I should keep the one I just bought, or return it for this one because of the specs are so much better for $300 extra

The differences are:

New One
14th Gen Intel Core i7-14700F 2.1GHz (Max 5.4GHz) Processor
33MB L3 Cache
32GB DDR5 Memory (4 Slots, 128GB Max)

Old one
13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13700F (16-Core) Processor
32GB DDR5 5200MHz

Graphics & Video:

New One
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super, 12GB - is this a way better card than the one below and worth the extra money?

Old One
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4060Ti Graphics, 16GB (which many reviews say is not a great card)

Thanks for your helpSend DataSend Data
I honestly don't think it's worth it. The 4060ti in your MSI is an overclocked version from MSI AND with 16gb of VRAM. All these people who say this card is bad doesn't know what they are talking about. They are not comparing apples to apples with the other 4060ti reviews.

If it had a 4080 then it would be worth the $300 difference

I would think it's consuming to constantly look at what's better cause there's always better value over time since it is technology and depreciation of that nature

At the very least if you can return and it's the same price it's easy but don't get stuck in these price ladder strategies you can always upgrade it yourself if you do your due diligence on what parts are proprietary to save yourself the trouble of how much you lock yourself in an ecosystem

I try to price out these parts but also do note that you wouldn't get these parts on an individual basis unless it was economically feasible or to your use case

No way this was really $1571. The 4080 alone is $1,100+.
