Excellent deal, but for those like me without a Depot nearby, and hate tabs, Southwire makes a really nice old work box. Screws into studs from the outside, and solid build quality. I have several of these in my house and would recommend for those wanting to throw more money at quality. Several options, like 2-gang, and fan boxes rated to hold 50 lbs.
I had one canceled and one is ready for pickup, I think the cancels are either lazy employees or they can't locate the stock (might be top stock or might be missing entirely or in the clearance area, etc.).
Just FYI, order 49 or less or your order might get canceled. I'm doing a large project so I ordered 100 and it got canceled.
They processed a 60 piece order no problem, it's just stock being inaccurate or mislocated or employee doesn't want to deal with it. I suggest going 10-20% below what their stock says cause guaranteed it's off by a bit.
website should indicate actual inventory in that store (can be off by a few). i found some on top of the clearance rack (no tag on shelf - box was still sealed). only picked up 10 for a van project
old work is when you're building the whole wall - new work is for when you're making a hole in your wall to fit the outlet - they have tabs that come out and secure against the inside ot the drywall.
This but reverse....new work is when you don't have sheetrock up, and new construction, old work is for when the wall is built and rock is up and installed already

Good pick. This is slickdeals though, where people do not care about anything else and would buy even if they don't need it or know what to use it for as long as it is a good deal. Lol.
