Aldi is definitely not as good IMHO.

Also, for people saying just buy the big jar- be careful of ingredients. I too thought this last year, why not buy the costco jug instead of $1 at a time from the grocery store? Well, there's a good reason, at least when it comes to the McCormick one they sold us. First we noticed that per pound of meat the costco one said to use more than the packets. Then we noticed once we cooked our usual dish with it (i.e. taco meat), the end result was pretty dreadful. So we looked at the ingredient list. #1 on these packets is spices (well, yeah, duh!)... but wait, the top ingredient on the bulk jar is corn meal, aka cheap filler to make you think you are getting a deal. And it screwed up the taste and texture of the food. I am mad at costco for accepting (or perhaps demanding?) such an inferior product.

So I'm in for one of these, we will hide the remainder of the bulk jug in chilli over the next few years..

You can buy ground beef full price and make Many all beef burritos. About $15 will get you what would cost about $40-50 at a fast food restaurant. Keep it simple. Seasoning, beef, and tortillas. Plus, whatever you have around or pick up at store same trip: onion, chedder cheese, jalepeno, whatever. Notice all the ingredients I listed will not mess up the burrito if you freeze it. They reheat well as long as you don't put anything like raw tomato, lettuce or sour cream in there. The other Caveat is you got to get your cleaning game down. iF you get your cleaning game down it's very low effort and very low mental drama. Yeah you have to clean a greasy Pan. Takes less than 2 minutes. You come back 5 or 10 minutes after the Pan has cooled, And clean immediately with dawn powerwash soap.

If you're not married to the McCormick brand, 19oz Kroger Taco Seasoning in large container is $6.99 at Kroger all day every day. vs 12oz for $7.39 here.

Just make your own seasoning. I use two parts garlic powder, one part ground cumin, and one part chili powder, 1 Tbsp for every 5 oz. serving of meat. The people do seem to love it.

Just bought taco seasoning at Aldi for .29 cents each. That's 1/2 price compared to this.

Nothing quenches my thirst better than Gen Z tears. Using "insults" against those who you don't agree sweetens the tears. Go buy your $15 Chiplote burrito, no one cares, atleast the "frugal jerk" has a very valid point and common sense 👍

can any taco experts speak to this vs old el paso? We usually get old el paso, and it is 88 cents a pack.
