It's best to note the number of washes, rather than the number of ounces.

e.g. 21 washes for $2 is under ten cents per load.

Also, the trend has been to increase concentration to save shipping costs, rather than to 'water down' the product..

How "thick" a liquid is has zero correlation to how effective it is. Taking out foaming agents or thickeners has no effect on cleaning ability and is often wasted chemicals used for marketing. Same for shampoo.

They're getting smaller every week, 27oz now. Absolutely not a good deal for how watered down they've become. You might as well just get the Dollar Tree brand detergent.

These are good if you're on vacation or need a smaller one to pour from larger containers like Costco Kirkland.

But I agree, not a good value to use all the time.

We don't know the concentration, but it's easy to see how viscous the liquid appears. It's mostly water, so the concentration has not increased. This isn't a good deal.

How stubbornly ignorant can you possibly be?

7 to 10 cents per load is not a good deal?

Link us a better one.

Wow.

EEK!

Not a terrible deal if this is the brand you use. If you compare the largest bottles at Walmart, this price actually beats theirs comparing price per ounce. 196 ounces to 166 at Walmart for the same price. The downside is dealing with 7 bottles, compared to 1 single large bottle.

These appear to be specific smaller drug store sized bottles. The normal bottle in the supermarket is 33oz and 33 loads, that is often on sale for the same price ($1.99)

I'll pay a few dollars more to not traverse a Walgreens parking lot. Kurt Russell should make a new Escape from ____ based on the pits of half sin that are these chain drug store's locations.

This is a good point. Even if the container stays the same and it's half empty, it's cheaper to have the product weigh less vs dilute it.

That's certainly true in big cities and other impoverished urban areas, but a non--issue here. Move to a better area.

I bought that stuff last month to use in a vacation rental.
I was (very) surprised that it did a decent job for $1.25. Also bought some Tide, and didn't find it superior to the Ajax, or Arm.n.Hammer I've been using.
The marketing guys do a great job, probably learned their chops doing propaganda for the government or the military.
