The links never work to Block. I hate to see people go there as they will try to upsell versions. Supported forms are the same for all retail versions, Basic, Deluxe & Premium.

I had a list at onetime and will see if I can find it. You can get there if you go to the retail product page for Deluxe, click System requirements and it should be under that. If you link it will just bug out or take you to the main page where they try to upsell.

One other thing of note that everybody should know. The online versions do less that the retail ones. For instance if you sign up for Deluxe online you can not do business income amongst other things
That's where I got this link, but something about SD affiliate links breaks it. You can copy and paste this to get there. Or do what you said.
Code:
https://www.hrblock.com/tax-software/updates-back-editions/federal-forms-available
It's telling that the link is the same regardless of which version you choose. I vaguely remember seeing a PDF table that had a more detailed comparison of the versions, but I can't find it again for the life of me.

Wouldn't a church be a non profit organization? There are multiple types. LLC and others are just passthrough income and Deluxe will handle that as it is no different than 1099 or self-employment income. But I assume, expect and suspect the church is something different. Maybe its own corporate entity or non profit. If nonprofit it is just an informational return you send in.
Yes, church is a religious nonprofit corporation.
So can they just use Deluxe + State?

The IRS says nonprofit church's and other religious organizations don't even have to file Form 990:
https://www.irs.gov/charities-non...-must-file

Double check your state rules and that the organization meets the criteria listed by the IRS?

Maybe someone knows a way around this.

I use the downloaded software to completed my Federal (#1 of the 5 I can do) and my State Return for the $20 under the Deluxe Package.

But I then need to complete my mother's Federal (#2 of the 5) and State. Unfortunately she resides in a different state, so the state download has been an additional $40 usually (maybe it's less now).

Can I just purchase 2 software licenses for $20 to get a second state download?

Use another computer to do your mother's tax. It will most likely allow you to download her State tax free.

It is important to distinguish between e-filing and filing. You get five federal e-files and no state. I just mail state and it cost nothing. After using the e-files up you can still file unlimited returns both federal and state but would have to ail them all.
If you are going to mail your federal and state return, you don't even have to pay at all.

Deluxe desktop will do everything Premium does. Supposedly premium offers extra guidance for a few things, but nobody has been able to demonstrate this.
Will deluxe desktop be able to file investment gain like stock and rental property

You have to travel to your local palm reader, and they can predict the future for you. Only experts such as palm readers are able to predict the future.

This software pissed me off for the last time last year. So I switched to freetaxusa. free federal and $15 for state also included was stocks and bonds. For anyone fatigued by this company 👍

How does HR Block compare with Turbo Tax if anyone used both in the past? I have been with Turbo for a long time but the price keeps climbing - annoying.

FWIW I tried to "switch" to H&R two years ago but it wouldn't import mt previous years TT files, even though one of the selling points is that it would.

If you bought an EV or PHEV last year and need to file 8936 to get your credit, take your time waiting for a deal. H&R Block hasn't finished adding that form until March 1st which means you can't finish your taxes.
