I haven't personally owned, or played, a gaming console, since the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was popular (about 30 years ago, I would guess), and I'm not exaggerating. However, I have a dear family friend, who plays Xbox and loves playing Call of Duty. So, I'm wondering, would this be a good controller (and would this be a good price) to give him as a gift, to play Call of Duty on an Xbox One console?

If someone would reply and share some helpful feedback with me, I would really appreciate it.

Does he already have a controller? I think COD is a first person shooter with a single player on the screen. Unless the controller gift is to give them a controller with another color, I would hold off to give them an upgraded controller like the Xbox elite controller.

These go on sale every now and then, and when they do go on sale it is indeed a great deal. Plus what gamer wouldn't want a gaming controller as a gift

I only said this was a good deal cause for #1 it's a gift to give someone. If it was for ones self I'd say just get the elite. Also they said they have an Xbox system.

Crap. Something may have changed. I was given 90 days on the previous controller I bought.

Easy fix for this is to buy a potentiometer. Remove the round disk. open the controller with drift pry open the little green door place disk in and good to go no soldering required. I buy controllers with drift all the time to flip this fixes it 98% of the time. It shouldn't take more then 10 minutes.
