Walmart and other retailers have the same price.

Go with Walmart for (edit) easier return.

Easy fix for this is to buy a potentiometer. Remove the round disk. open the controller with drift pry open the little green door place disk in and good to go no soldering required. I buy controllers with drift all the time to flip this fixes it 98% of the time. It shouldn't take more then 10 minutes.

I put one of these on (for the anti-friction rings): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BKQTHZ1W/

and these stick grips: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CFXNSBGW/

...and this is easily my favorite controller. And I've gone through several "pro" controller options.

Stick Drift Edition at no extra cost. Always included
These babies always crying in every controller thread known to man. The truth is it doesn't actually happen to everyone. I've never even had stick drift on my joycons, let alone my xbox controllers.

It's a known problem with the controllers that ship with the Xbox series x and s I've bought fixed and sold many with the same problem

It's a known problem since the first analog stick controller decades ago. Doesn't mean it happens every time or even most the time.

Another reason why YouTube/social media has ruined so many things. Been playing video games 20+ years and now, every post about controllers goes on about "stick drift" as if people just learned those two words. I've only had one controller have noticeable stick drift and it was a DualShock 4 controller I got with my launch PS4… that was after about eight years of daily use.

These are the same people who probably throw the controllers and break their drywall after getting no scoped on COD.

Not saying any analog stick is flawless and sure it doesn't happen all the time but it's still a known problem this gen just do a search.

No stick drift here either. This controller, like the xbox, is top notch.

I mean if you want anything high quality when it comes to controllers, you'll have to go with the elite version. Even then those $200 controllers develop stick drift. I have both Xbox and ps5 elite style controllers and I must say the Xbox feels more luxurious and bang for the buck but it's just personal opinion. I only said this was a good deal cause for #1 it's a gift to give someone. If it was for ones self I'd say just get the elite. Also they said they have an Xbox system.
Hmmm that's interesting. I am very detail-oriented and do 3d printing a lot, and I noticed the edges gave away the inferior quality. And the smoothness of the analog sticks on the PS controllers is just another league better. It's more buttery. But again subjective preferences play a big role. I just felt so disappointed with the xbox controller and I had good memories of the xbox 360 controllers, and DS3 controllers felt weird back then.

Oh and yeh about your recommendation, i agree with you for getting these for a gamer, i just wnated to add if they're a pc gamer or anyone here is a pc gamer thinking about getting one to go with the PS controllers. Anyways thanks for sharing the info, i got 6 PS controllers i keep to pkay with friends sometimes, now maybe time to get the elite

YMMV, but I'm showing $39 for both the black and white models at Sam's Club. Red is still $44.

Walmart, however, has the red Elite Series 2 marked down to $95: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Micros...2362596572

EDIT: It seems Amazon and Target are matching the Elite 2 price.
