Also, there are reports from consumers that purina and other brands may be causing issues with pets, but nothing is confirmed. I haven't noticed anything, but keeping a large stock on hand I often have cases for 6-12 months before they are fed. So the food everyone else might have just bought and are feeding, mine wouldn't be served for a while.
Interesting. I buy this for my cat who will eat any and everything, from both Sam's and Amazon exclusively…for the past 7 years or so.
I noticed maybe mid to late last year that some of the cans I was giving her, she would hesitate to eat, or just leave outright. Had never seen that before so it did make me wonder.
Unfortunately no way of knowing (now) whether those instances were from Sam's or Amazon, but I will definitely be paying attention going fwd.
If formula was changed, it could simply be a supply chain issue for a particular ingredient, or more nefariously, ingredient subbed out for something cheaper and likely nastier.

This is true with a lot of Amazon food, too. Short exp date, but nothing is confirmed.
The same thing happened to my cat and Sheba salmon pate. She used to not get enough of it, and now she takes a whiff and walks away.
