Is the 3d card upgradable in the future here? Thinking of pulling the trigger on this then getting a new card in a year or two.

Yes, this is standard desktop not using any custom components and you can upgrade literally every component.

Thanks! After reviewing the other slick deals and poking around online, this feels like a solid deal with some good longevity given the HD and ram size. I think I'll go for it.

Might also want to consider this one for the same price with 14th gen cpu and faster ram:

Thank you! That is worth the smaller HD for me. 1TB is plenty for my needs

Apart from higher speed Memory, that deal is actually inferior to this and let me explain why.
  • Processor: 14th Gen 14400F is nothing but a rebranding of the 13400F with same Core configuration, same base clock for the P cores and the E cores, same boost clock for the E cores and just 100 MHz higher boost clock (4.6 GHz vs 4.7 GHz) for the P cores. There is no actual performance difference between them, neither it offers any additional features.
  • 2TB Gen 4 SSD vs 1TB on the ABS
  • 650W PSU on this vs 600W on the ABS
  • Custom Air cooler vs Stock Intel Cooler on ABS which is way inferior and prevent it from boosting to the higher turbo speeds.

This is a good 1080p gaming machine, probably get 60+ fps for the next 3-4 years in most games, especially if you use dlss and even more if it supports frame generation.

I have a 4060 in a machine and I get 60 fps in 1440p using dlss in almost every game including cyberpunk.

I give this a thumbs up if you use zip to pay, otherwise its decent, just not a great thumbs up. Then in 4-5 years you can see where your gaming needs are at, maybe pop a new gpu and maybe a 14700kf and be set for a few more years.

It's the same line but slightly different specs and model #.

Here's the $700 deal
https://slickdeals.net/f/17123146-msi-codex-r-desktop-i5-13400f-rtx-4060-8gb-16gb-ram-1tb-ssd-699-free-shipping

This deal seems pretty good for $850 since it has upgraded 32gb RAM and 4th gen 2TB SSD
