If these are as inconsistent as Project Farm [youtube.com] found the 1/2" version to be, I wouldn't trust this on any expensive bike parts.

Thanks - will review this- appreciate it

The 1/4 version I planned on using mainly for seat handlebar minor areas none of the expensive components - will give it a try and report back
