i had to scrub mine several times before they stopped leaving black marks on my hands
Expensive dumbbells, like the Rogue in the link below are only guaranteed to be +/- 3%
So the Rogue ones, which cost $1.68/lb, are allowed to fluctuate between 38.8 lbs to 41.2 lbs for a 40lb dumbbell.
