Shipping was $8.99 and tax appeared to be on the pre-rebate amount but it's still a good deal. Thanks OP! They also have a surge protector/power conserving power strip for $5 after rebate. I think it's for gas and electric clients.

I get gas service from Consumers and was not eligible for the discount

I looked at how much the filters are. You can get a six pack of offbrand Honeywell filters for $39 on Amazon. That's pretty damn cheap. It's 12 filters total each time you have to change two different filters. One is charcoal and the other one is a regular HEPA filter. So that's just over $6 dollars a change. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger. Oh and the unit itself is $106 on Amazon.

You don't NEED OEM filters. Quit being an OEM fanboy. It's a waste of money. A charcoal filter is a charcoal filter and companies that make replacement HEPA filters use the correct material to filter down to that micron size. Honeywell filters are manufactured in China, Korea, and Portugal. Probably the same companies that make offbrand. Or at least they get their filter material from the same companies. There are actually companies in the United States that make aftermarket replacement filters for many products if you look.
