Yes! Unlike many comparably priced Dell and HP systems, the Lenovo in this deal has a pretty standard power supply that you could easily replace (as opposed to some ATX12VO-syle power supply which lacks a 24-pin connector and may also be some more obscure FlexATX or TFX form factor).

Good luck!

I would advise anyone who is debating on purchasing this particular model (T5 26AMR5) to do a little research. I almost bought one myself. However, after some research I discovered these legion 5 desktops (in particular ones with G series processors, which this model has) have a tendency to develop a pretty serious defect over time with the motherboard. It usually pops up as an "BlInitializeLibrary failed 0xc00000bb" or "Fan error 0135" after 4-12 months of using the pc. This defect/error basically bricks the entire computer.

It also appears that warranty replacements for the motherboard just end up developing the same issue over time. Lenovo acknowledges the issue, but if your warranty runs out your SOL. The only surefire fix looks to be swapping out the motherboard with a standard micro-atx one. The newest bios update may or may not have resolved this issue. I personally didn't feel like it was worth the risk, especially given how common this defect is.

Can't seem to determine whether they perform a soft credit inquiry, hard credit inquiry, both, and/or report the 'loan' to the credit agencies. It would definitely not be worth a $100 discount to see them show up on a credit report, IMHO.

400w power supply. Not much of an upgrade path for the GPU if that matters to you.

Can't you just buy a larger PSU?

is the motherboard upgradeable?
was looking to build a system, but this seems to meet my needs for now.
Wondering how much of an upgrade path there is for the future.

Zip must be like Affirm? Anyone with experience? Wondering the feasibility of using the code then paying off the loan in full immediately?

Appears to be soft check from my Googlefu, but you're right that would be a deal breaker for me

Yes because 5600g runs pci express gen 3 and the 3060 is a gen 4 card…. Except it really doesn't matter, I bet you maybe drops one frame for second

Rear io is very lacking. But I appreciate the micro atx form factor and the standard PC case layout with glass side panel and RGB, I've seen way worse systems from Dell

Stats are pretty meh for 2024 considering the price. $140 for CPU $280 for the GPU.

So you are paying $200 more for case, ps, small hd and outdated RAM.

A better deal with ZipPay, but honestly have no idea how Zip works. If this is part of the deal, I feel like an explanation should be made of all the fees that will be incurred. Their webpage seems pretty opaque on how this works.

Seems like requires 4 payments over 6 week period and a soft credit check. No mention of finance charges, so how do they make money?

it looks like there is a finance charge. in their example they mention 1 dollar for 200 dollar financed, with 4 payments, comes to 4 dollars.
