The for French press part is a lie. You need a paper filter (basically drip coffee) or you will find your drink too gritty.

I'll cold brew anything for $3.75.

I've found greats, crappy and ok ones. I buy whatever I find on FP, I need to make a list of the bad ones so I remember to not buy em.

Came out the same for me. But even at $5.72 I'm willing to try it since I prefer light roasts and generally find Lavazza to be decent coffee for the price.

What is their best dark roast coffee ground? I got the Perfetto but it's too light for me. It actually looks light brown too.

if you like cold brew with more natural bean flavors and less bitter tastes and oil, light roast makes the best cold brew style by far Embarrassment

Maybe try being a bit more heavy handed with your grounds? The Gran Selezione [Green bag, personal favorite] is labelled Dark, but Classico and Perfetto also make a robust cup. I've never had a weak or "light brown" result from any of them.

If all else fails the Starbucks French Roast might do you, although finding it on sale could be annoying.

I just tried again this morning and put more than usual into the basket, it's still not as strong as my usual Seattle Best Post Alley or Trader Joe's dark roast (both of which also look dark, almost black instead of the Perfetto brown). I recently had some Lavazza that was very good and strong, but I didn't take note of the roast.
