Finally a capacity I'm actually satisfied with for an SSD at sub-$200. I wonder if this will be the limit for 5 years, like with 8TB mechanical drives?

The Innogrit controller on this drive is relatively new and has had serious problems.

You've never heard of Verbatim? You must not have been sentient during the DVD-R days.

*edit* looking at your join date, your comment had to have been a joke, right?

I got this last time this deal was posted. I needed it for a laptop so I removed the heat sink and installed bare drive. Only 4 screws and no adhesive other than slightly sticky thermal pads. So far so good. No issues transferring about 2tb from the drive it replaced. Performs well.

I was joking, it was sarcasm. I actually have some verbatim CD-R & DVD-Rs in my closet haha , but I wouldn't risk 4TB on a brand unknown for HDs, at least in modern day Intels & Samsungs

I've never seen a 8TB SSD for under $200
HDD = Hard disk drive = mechanical drive. Different from SSDs
