Use the crap out of this for rice making. Wash rice, 1:1 ratio, 3 mins high presure, 10 min natural release.

Use the crap out of it for soup making, pot roasts, etc.

No, that is the duo crisp model
I already have a cheap pressure cooker. Is it worth waiting for that model or should I just get a separate air fryer?

I have the ninja foodi which doubles as a pressure cooker and air fryer. From that experience (not sure if it is similar to the instant pot duo crisp) it is pretty good at pressure cooking but only ok as an air fryer. A dedicated air fryer does a better job. If you are looking for space saving measures then getting the combined one will save you a ton of space.

When I say ok I mean it takes longer to air fry things whereas when I used to have the basket type air fryer it would be about 30% faster.

I have the Instant Pot Duo Crisp. I absolutely love it, and wish I had gotten the 8qt one instead of 6qt, but the air fryer on it is great for me as a single person. You can't put a ton of stuff in there, but I've really liked it so far. I'm sure standalone air fryers are better, but if you're not too picky the Duo Crisp is great.

Mine has a rice function but you are correct as far as timing 😜 makes great rice in 1/3 of time of traditional rice maker

Buy it now do your research later. A remarkable and highly versatile appliance.

The Evo models like this one are light years ahead of all non-Evo models. There's no going back after you've had hands-on with Evo flat bottom inner pot with insulated handles and compatibility with all stoves including induction.

This lets us start cooking on portable induction with a blast of heat so that when we transfer hot to I.P. there is only about a minute wait to come up to pressure. That cuts the total cooking time down significantly. No gloves required hanfling hot thanks to the silicone insulated handles which show no sign of deterioration after 3 years of daily use.

The precise digital temperature control is also an Evo first. It allows for a moist tender result especially with chicken and beef where one can finish cooking at a lower temperature and also hold a precise temperature.

No water is required to dry bake with an option for steam-baking and indirect-seream baking using the P-i-P pot in pot method.

It can ferment and improve the nutritional value of beans and grains with a long low temperature pre-soak.

Evo was introduced Fall 2019 with the Duo Evo Plus. This Pro is essentially the same as D.E.+ We found that a must-have accessory is a covered pot used with the red sling for Pot-In-Pot method. This way food cooks in its own juice which is conserved and not lost to the water used for steam. No dilution, no lost nutrition, no delicate foods turning to mush. Although a pure titanium backpacking pot will cost as much as this deal I strongly suggest trying a 2 liter one from REI. Return it if you don't agree that it's a game changer. Pure titanium pots are non-reactive, not toxic and will last 100 years if only used in I.P. receiving heat like a double boiler from the steam. Pyroceramic works too but it's heavy, can break and slow to transfer heat. A stainless backpacking pot works too. With covered P-i-P method the lid MUST be at least minimally vented to allow pressure to equalize inside of I.P.

We're using our Evo model several times a day every day for three years and can't imagine being without one.

Anyone got real experience, if it worth? Looking for good pressure cooker.
The only electric pressure cooker better than Pro is Pro Plus which automates the steam release in the same way Max does. But Max doesn't have the evo inner pot or any of the other evolved design elements found in Evo.

I would buy a dedicated S.V. instead. I.P. has no circulation. Nor would I buy a model that attempts to make it an air fryer. Pro excels as an electric p.c. and as a slow cooker with dial-in precise digital temperature control.

Exercise caution. Yes but only for pint size jars and only for low risk foods. Pro can't replace a proper dedicated canner.
