I have to dump on this shoe. Purchased a couple pairs of the Rebel V3 last year.

They feel nice and bouncy out of the box. But the midsole loses most of that bounce a few miles into a run. The beginning of the run will feel active and fun while last few miles feel like a chore. In addition to that unfortunate intra-run dichotomy the midsole foam has substandard durability. My pairs only lasted me about 100-120 km before the ride became too dull and boring to endure.

If you think this shoe would still work as a leisure or gym shoe In here to dispell you that notion. The midsole is extremely soft with a rounded rim. Most people will find this shoe unstable for walking and standing.

I stocked up on these last year when they were on sale and immediately found them too soft for running.
However they are extremely light weight and comfortable for walking. These would be perfect if you are on your feet all day for work or visiting amusement parks

All these EVA shoes are the same. Low quality and not built for the long haul. I run in standard 880s and won't switch to FreshFoams or any other crap until they discontinue them.

Good deal if you like to stock up. Price may go down even more in a few days/weeks. New model is releasing March 1st I believe. I use 2 pairs and have 2 pairs waiting in the wings. Currently have 250 miles on the first one and 70 miles on the second. Good for slow (my pace) and easy (my style) runs as the foam is very soft but doesn't really sink in like some other soft shoes. I prefer the rebel's fuelcell foam vs other fresh foam NB shoes.

Huh? The 880s have FreshFoam.

I have a similar experience. At first these shoes felt incredible. However, I started to notice that towards the end of my run they felt completely dead and it was like running on pavement barefoot.

I usually wear an EE(Wide) in new balance and these are still too narrow/tight in the upper - Something to consider if you wear wide

Same!!. Daily runner here and they feel good for about 50 miles, then I rather run in my Asics or Saucony

What I learned from this experience, and a couple other unfortunate shoe buys in 2023, is that I should never consider purchasing EVA shoes for running. Doesn't matter if the EVA is supercritical or how much the price is discounted. EVA is simply no longer acceptable in today's world.
