The best projectors for home setups still can't touch the contrast and hdr / highlight / nits of a good oled or miniled tv. Don't get me wrong I love my projector but lazers are going to have to get alot brighter and cheaper to keep up with large tvs with how fast they are dropping in price and gaining in quality imo.

IMO
100" = Hisense or TCL TV
120" = UST. Should be on a 15" stand or shorter.
135+= Standard projector. Also needs to be in a light controlled room.

Seems like a great deal and the same thing $200 and $400 more both made the front page. What gives?

In hindsight I wish I would have bought something like this than pay full price for my OLED. Though yes it has great/superb image quality, laser protectors are another level of cool in a way

Seems like a great deal but keep looks like it's 2500 lumens max so would need a pretty dark room

Gonna be using Xbox one S for 4K Blu-ray playback in a 11x10 feet room. Will this setup be OK? Or should I just get a conventional throw projector setup?

Totally depends on where you can/can't put the projector. I have a short throw regular one about 6 feet back and getting me to 80 inches no problem. But that's ceiling mounted. This can be set right up there - so very different use.

Thanks for the reply. Room is brand new and empty,so I am starting from scratch. I can do both kind of projectors. Probably the question should be whether UST is worth the hassle compared to normal projectors.

If you want the setup to look good, having a projector near the floor can be a bit of a hassle.

Huh? Near the floor? What is wrong with you? I put mine on a tv stand no where near the floor.

Uhhhhh… unless you have very tall ceilings, UST projectors need to be kept very close to the floor to keep the image at a good place on the wall. You'd know this if you've ever used one.

As I have for the last year and a half and just sold in favor of a smaller TV, I can't really recommend these now that big TVs have gone mainstream and relatively cheap.
