Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

For those who see a higher price than what is listed:
This is a clearance item and will continue to fall in price as long as there is inventory in your local store. Once the last of them are sold, the price will show as full retail price again. It is hard to say when the price will drop since the stores get updated pricing reports daily but a good rule of thumb is that a clearance item's price will drop in ~1/2 every 1-2 weeks that the inventory remains in store.

Pro-tip:
If you see a, "N" under the barcode of a pricing label in the store, that stands for, "non-stock". This means that specific store will no longer carry that product anymore and it won't have a shelf space much longer (if it even still does). Stores want these items to move as fast as possible. If you see these types of items, ask an employee politely to speak to an Assistant Store Manager (or "ASM" as they will call them). If you are good with people and they want them gone, you can haggle with them and see what they are willing to drop the price to if you buy all, half, or most of a non-stock item.

Managers are judged by their superiors if they happen to visit that store and see a lot of clearance/non-stock items taking up space. They want that product out of the store so the corporate floorplans can be implemented as accurately as possible so, if they are smart, stores will work with you to get it out quickly. They might lose some money on the deal but it is a drop in the ocean and they are willing to do it to get something else off the shelf that no longer belongs there. They do this kind of dealing with regular contractors in their store all the time. Be smart and talk to these people with respect and you stand a better shot at getting what you want.

Disclaimer: I worked as a product merchandiser for Lowe's for years. My job was to reset product placement, product displays, and verify floor layout accuracy according to corporate directives. My shop is filled to the brim with items I was able to get for ridiculous prices because of these tactics.
*Also note; a "Clearance" item and a, "non-stock" item are not always going to be the same thing. Individual stores may have more insight as to what the future of a popular product might be but this could also impact their willingness to haggle. Some managers follow the corporate pricing and are not willing to override a current price so it can be luck of the draw and YMMV from one manager to the next.

I think a lot of their short comings is due to the stores limiting what is shared now.

But its a good start for some still but not the end all I agree.

I have both the Husky and these Lowes straps. The husky is a better strap and is cheaper even at this sale price.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../312994393 [homedepot.com]
• Husky are not cheaper
• Husky straps look ugly
• Husky may be easier to get support if it breaks
• Husky straps are 6 ft longer
• Husky includes a storage bag

• SmartStraps are less expensive @ $3.50 each
• SmartStraps longer hooks appear to be more versatile and better shaped
• SmartStraps look better - mechanism and straps
• SmartStraps comes with Zerust anti-seize technology
• SmartStraps warranty - 90 days

• Not sure about durability on either

Opinion - although Husky may come with lifetime warranty, I don't want lifetime looking at the ugly Husky straps (mechanism and straps).
I will take my chance on $7 and move on.

Capital Blvd Lowes in Raleigh NC has a lot of these. They are not on the floor, they are at the top of the shelf in boxes of 4 where other items like these are… aisle 15. There's about 6 boxes left.

Note: not all tie down straps are designed and manufactured equally.

• Posting lowest cost without considering quality and design is not helpful. It's really not cheaper either.

Stanley has 900 lb break strength and SmartStraps have 3,000 lb break strength. Stanley is not a good alternative to SmartStraps.

Stanley has 60% 5-star rating vs 76% 5-star rating on SmartStraps

There's one in Dublin, CA. I ordered it but don't plan on picking it up. Let me know if you want it and I'll cancel.

Lodi, CA and Martell, CA also have them at that price. Probably not that difficult to find them after checking a few zip codes near you.

also Visalia and Merced.

I've got it today. It is as cheesy as it gets for fabric, HF quality. Home Depot 500 lbs strap I have feels stronger than this "1000 lbs". I will keep it for $7, but give yourself a favor - get 1000lbs 16 ft. 1.25 in. Ratchet Tie-Down Straps with S-Hook (4-Pack) from HD for $19.95 vs this. You will pay $3 more for 2 much longer straps (extra $6 for two sets) that come in a nice bag, and you will not regret it, unless fake carbon covers that collect water is what you need
