Edge+ is also on sale, and it's one of the best phones for the money.

For like the first day or 2 there is a bit while updates are catching up, things are settling in, etc...afterwards it's totally fine. This thing is actually quite good for a cheap phone! I picked one up when it was cheaper a week or so ago. I have an iPhone in dire need of a battery change and this wasn't much more (don't have the patience/dexterity to DIY anymore), so figured why not give android another spin since it's been a long while.
The only thing I really don't like about this phone itself is the adaptive brightness is terrible in low light/darkness. The other appears to be a Google thing rather than the phone itself...but using Google assistant over Bluetooth in a car...that eyes free sort of capability in most newer cars...Siri is WAY better. Can read out incoming messages, play audio from whatever app, etc just fine. Google assistant on the other hand? Can't do hardly anything without being met with a sure, but you'll need to unlock the phone first...which kind of defeats the whole point! None of the tricks or workarounds have worked to an acceptable level if at all too. I might send this one back and get new battery in my iPhone due to that alone.

Did you tell her that she needed to charge it regularly...? 🤪

Let my then new Pixel 7 Pro sit unused for a while after getting frustrated with the fingerprint scanner - thing still had juice after nearly two weeks (don't remember the amount, but it was still in the double-digits). It's amazing how well Android manages battery usage lately - although that example has the caveat of not having an active SIM in it during that time. Still surprised me, tho.

I'm actually typing this on my Edge+. I've had it for nearly a year and have no complaints. One would be really hard pressed to get a better phone at that $200 mark that doesn't require a contract.
