I picked up one of these about a month ago and I've been really happy with it. The small shift key on the right side took a day or two to get the hang of coming from a full size keyboard. For this price I think it was a steal. Grabbed a second one for a spare.

reviews say many DOA, YOLO bought 2, will return to Amazon if they are DOA. One for my kids as a keyboard replacement, and one for me for using Quest 3 PCVR from bed (easier to stash the 60% in the night stand).

There's a 10% coupon on this item. At first I did not see it when I clicked on the OP's link. I changed thru the different color key options and when I went back to Blue, the coupon appeared.

Got the keyboard for $20.30 before tax.

For someone who has used something like a Logitech wireless keyboard or laptop keyboard for the last 20+ years, should I be looking into a mechanical keyboard? I'm tempted at this price.

I know it's wired which is okay it would be for work.

If you poke around a bit, there are other similarly priced options.

For example, the SK652 full size wired white/silver with red switches is $23.29, which is a pretty good price for a full sized mechanical keyboard.

Once you use a quality mechanical keyboard, you will not go back to membrane keyboards.

The Switches are Soldered.

Hot-Swappable Switches or Nothing...

at least for me.

Yeah, this was me. Used Logitech for forever but switched to a Steelseries rgb keyboard and I am loving it. Thinking about getting one for my 73yo dad. Built him a new computer for Christmas but got him a new Logi keyboard. I think the light up keys will help him see it better in darker environments. They sure help me.

edit: Nevermind. Need the number pad since we both use alot of spreadsheets.

I'm pissed that no one shook me by the shoulders 15 years ago and forced me to try mechanical keyboards. They're so much better than membrane keyboards.

It's wired. You planning on plugging it directly into your headset? Not sure if it works like that. Plus you'd probably drain the battery a lot faster. I know there's only like 5 keyboards that Meta is fully supporting right now with the pass through overlay and they will probably look a lot better.

The 60% keyboards are nice if you've got mouse with a few programmable extra buttons... Got the GMMK deal before xmas and trying to type on a keyboard without either arrow keys or a DEL is frustrating. Agree that the DEL just below the return key is a disaster waiting to happen...

I kind of come from where you come from.

My favorite keyboard of all time is the K740. I've written novels with it. It was, bar none, the best typing experience for me. I "upgraded" to a G710 with cherry blue mechanical switches and it was, by far, one of the worst keyboards I've ever used. Both were Logitech.

My point is that you need to experience these for yourself and decide.

My current is an off brand mechanical keyboard with "low profile blue switches" that actually works very well, I've recommended it, but it doesn't match the pleasure of my favorite keyboard.

Upgrading its really about finding the one that best suits your tastes. Some people are great with domes, some with switches, and I have a love for those old scissors. No one can tell you what's best for you.

Agree and and that's why you can order sample switches to try how they feel and then chose one. For me I like the cherry Mx red switches for some reason even though the blue ones are more popular. This is a very personal liking thing.

Thanks a whole bunch for pointing that out. Needed a new 'work' keyboard and linear keys are necessity in a cube environment.
