Of course you don't need it, just like me. That's why I bought it

I'm also very off put by that.
These are "returned" not refurbished. So that would mean, logically, that nobody has looked at them or tested them since they have been returned. Could be someone didnt want it and send it back, or it could be busted.
There is also no returns or support on "returned" items in this sale.

With something that can very easily be a fire hazard or safety risk, I would buy new with a warranty.

I was excited to see this, but I checked their reddit sub and noticed comments from people who bought their returned 3d printers. They received non-working printers with missing parts. Unfortunately, I'm out.

Edit: started typing this before the comment about reports of missing parts got posted... Took a look, and yeah, I'll agree, say pass of this. Will leave my original comment for info it contains:

These are almost guaranteed to be returned because either

1) theres a steep learning curve to getting started
2) they underestimated the fumes and don't have a place to setup outside

Getting the belts tensioned and aligned (particularly the x axis belt for the large engrave areas variants) can be a little annoying, but that's really the only gripe with setup. For use, you have to dial in your etch/cut settings per material, which can take some trial an error. These give off a surprising amount of fumes, so you'll want a well-ventilated area or an enclosure with piped exhaust if you want to use it indoors.

As far as features go, these lack air assist, so you'll see may see some charring around the edges of cuts/etchings (you can work around this by using lower power and increasing the number of passes) and will have to clean the lens more frequently. But wireless and offline etching/cutting is nice; though you can add that to other lasers with octoprint + better grbl extension.

For the money, I'd be all over this if I didn't already have a laser cutter. At this price you're basically getting the diode laser free and just paying for the frame, controller and motors. While the sale is final, they'll probably work with you if the diode is DOA, which you'll figure out pretty quickly. And like I said, this is almost guaranteed to be a return because the other guy couldn't be bothered to follow through with dialing in the settings or learning lightburn/lasergrbl.

I got TTS25 the last time it went on sale and never got it to work. The motor moved fine, but the laser never came on to focus.

Was thinking of ordering the 10w ts2 but found it in Amazon new for $300. Seems like it is not worth the risk of final sale.

TwoTrees is in general awful. I think these prices are ok enough to take a risk, but know that you're likely in some money and time to get things working as they should...However, that is true of their new stuff too.

how good of a deal is this?

it says "final sale" but also "free returns" lol, I'm getting mixed messages, but I feel like I probably know which way this would go if I had a bad machine
