I own most of Dewalts 20v tools and didn't pick this one up due to the amount of people that say it jams bad.
It seems like a common problem with the nail guns as well.
I own this and the milwaukee fuel 30° framing nailer. I used them both heavily the last 4 months building a large shed. I had 1 jam in each gun but that was the only issue i had. The battery life on the dewalt is spectacular and the battery life on the milwaukee is pretty good.
One thing to note, i dont use the rapid fire nail setting on either gun, only the singular setting.

I have this one and I always have an issue with the last 2-3 nails just falling out. It's like the magazine spring cant go all the way up. I've trained myself to load another pack of nails before I get too low. I've used the rapid fire setting before, but I feel like half the time the nails dont go all the way in. I'm an amatuer builder though so maybe my technique is wrong.

Not sure what you mean by 'falling out'. I forgot about that though. The Milwaukee 30 degree framing nailer will not fire at all if you only have about 2-4 nails left so you always have to add another pack. I can't remember if the dewalt is the same when you only have a few nails left or not.... I'll have to test that feature when I build the ramp to get my mower in and out of there. I am almost done with this little 12x12 shed... or rather, tiny house, lol. Waiting for a little warmer and less windy weather for the soffits and vinyl siding. I may build another bigger structure or an addition later this summer but I absolutely limit myself to one project at a time because it is too easy to go from project to project and have 20 started but nothing done!

The nails literally fall through the front where they would normally shoot from. I wish this one had the "will not fire" feature. I'm building a 20x24 cabin so I am also building a tiny home! I got all the framing finished and walls and roof sheathed. Getting metal roofing next week hopefully! Ignore the tarp and temporary gutter. I am going to be doing house wrap soon too so looks like were close in the build process

Very nice looking so far.
Are you using the right nails? You should be using plastic collated nails... so they're all attached together. Not sure how they fall out if they're attached; unless you mean the remaining bundle of 3 or so fall out (as 1 piece).
Is that the same one you have or are you using a pneumatic one? Either way, the nail packs whether paper or plastic should all hold together. Now Im rather intrigued by your issue.......
I've used quite a few nailers pneumatic and cordless and they all seem to be happier when they're more than 1/4 full of nails. The gas/cordless nailers like the Paslode are going to be faster and stronger, but more expensive in consumables. Very easy to find these secondhand for a song. The Ryobi framer is actually really nice for the price, same design as the Milwaukee but consumer grade parts. The durability on this is better, but I'd buy whatever ecosystem you're already in.

Yup same gun for sure and I am using the plastic collated ones. But yeah a bundle of usually 2 will fall out or jam. I'll see if I can get a video of it happening later
It was in the clearance section of my HD for $259 ($20 more). I assume it would have rung up for that, but I didn't try as I already have one.
In terms of the ongoing debate about jamming, mine when for a long time without a single jam, then at some point started to jam about once every two or three nail packs. The last nails have fallen out only about one time ever. I am thinking that, in my case at least, there is probably debris build up which I need to clean out.

Maybe we have a different nail gun? I use the Dewalt 20v framing nailer ( https://www.homedepot.c
