Got this for twice the price in 2016 at Amazon. Continues to work very well. No problems. Can get through some big snows also. But not this year..... so far.

Snowjoe is garbage from my experience, I haven't had a problem with Greenworks yet.

Thanks, bought it. I'll be in my new house by next winter and the driveway is real short, so corded doesn't bother me. The driveway is also on a slope downwards so I don't want to drag or push anything big and heavy back up it.

How is the throw on this model? Is this better than Snow Joe brand?

The snowjoe for 121 is superior , the chute gets clogged with wet snow but is Definitely manageable. I bang the front of it from the handle bars up and down during heavy wet snow like 8 inches two weeks ago. snowjoe says 25 throw, this is maybe 10

Please make sure you already have or plan to purchase an appropriate and safe extension cord to use with this blower using the following guidelines:
  • A cord that is 50 feet long or shorter should be at least 14AWG or smaller gauage
  • A cord that is 51-100 feet should be at least 12AWG or smaller
  • Regardless of length make sure to buy a cord marked W or W-A signifying it's rated for outdoor use.
All of the above comes directly from the manual for this product so if it's wrong please blame Greenworks for crappy documentation and not me. Smilie

I'll also add (since for some reason it's not in the manual!) that since you'll be using this cord outside in the snow make sure you plug it into a GFCI outlet.

Edit: If you've never used an extension cord in a wet environment before please make sure the extension cord isn't oriented so that water can flow down it and into the outlet it's plugged into. You can google "drip loop" to see what I'm talking about if you want to see the how to safely orient the cord to the outlet.

I live in southern Arizona - What is "snow", and why would you want to throw it?
